Dr. Mathew completed her undergraduate degree in Pharmacy at Rutgers University, Ernest Mario College of Pharmacy. She subsequently earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy. After finishing a Pharmacy practice residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Mathew worked as Assistant Clinical Professor at Rutgers University. Because of her lifelong passion for medicine, Dr. Mathew decided to pursue her dream and received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine.
After working as a hospitalist for two years, Dr. Mathew moved to Texas to further her medical education. Dr. Mathew completed her fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2013 at Texas A&M- Baylor Scott and White hospital. During her fellowship, she received the Pfizer Resident/Fellow reporters award.
Dr. Mathew is passionate about medical education. She currently is assistant clinical professor at Hackensack Meridian Seton Hall School of Medicine and in actively involved in the curriculum development of the new medical school. Dr. Mathew’s area of interest include: Thyroid / parathyroid disorders, Diabetes, Bone metabolism and Pituitary disorders. Dr. Mathew is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. She is an active member of the American College of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society.
